Project Description
This book project examines emerging trends and approaches in African Englishes and literatures. It explores how English has been nativized across the African continent and how African writers are using these varieties to express African realities, identities, and worldviews in innovative ways. The project investigates the endonormative stabilization of African Englishes, new literary movements, the role of African Englishes in identity construction, and how these varieties contribute to the transformative development of postcolonial Africa. Contributors will analyze linguistic creativity, literary innovation, and the cultural significance of African Englishes.
