This project examines the lasting impact of colonialism on African identities and explores pathways for deconstructing colonial legacies and reconstructing authentic African identities. It addresses questions of cultural identity, psychological independence, the role of indigenous knowledge systems in identity formation, and the process of decolonizing the African mindset. Contributors will explore how colonial legacies continue to shape African societies and propose transformative approaches to identity reconstruction that honor African heritage while embracing contemporary realities.
